What parent testers had to say:
Baby Bod has a lot of great information for any mom looking to get her body back after baby in a safe and effective way. It has information for new and experienced mothers, vaginal and c section deliveries and how to get back on your feet and your flat belly back after you have your baby. Written by a physical therapist, the book doesn't just look at diet and exercise but how to effectively and safely work on specific areas for your post pregnancy body. This book would be a great gift for a new mom at a baby shower and perfect to read before baby is born and then reference back to after baby is born and mom is ready to get her body back. It has great tips for preparing for birth, handling pain and discomfort immediately after birth and exercises to help mom after birth get her body back.
I found Baby Bod to be an enlightening look at my overall health after baby. I used the techniques found inside to get my body back into better condition and noticed a difference quite quickly. I began the program 3 months postpartum and was still having some pain and bladder leakage - both of which were helped by the Baby Bod program.
After having my first child I was surprised by the postpartum trauma my body experienced and the amount of time it took me to recover. This may sound silly, but no one really talks about this issue and I found there to be little resources on the market to address it. While reading this book I found myself feeling relieved that the postpartum care and related problems woman experience are being addressed openly. As a mother of two I definitely find the information/program useful but must say that I wish I had read this book while I was pregnant with my first child so that I would have been more prepared for the postpartum phase and recovery.
I really enjoyed reading Baby Bod. I found I could really relate to this book in many different ways. One is because I had a child 3.5 years ago, I had my second child just over 8 months ago and recently found out we are expecting again. This book covers all areas from pregnancy to when your kids are grown. It helps you understand and accept why your body isn?t going to just ?snap? back after you give birth, that not everyone is ready to bounce back into things after their six week check up. This book really opened my eyes to why certain things happen when we are pregnant ? and that we don?t have to just accept them because they are common. We as mothers should not have to be uncomfortable for the rest of our lives because we wanted to have children. Baby Bod is a great, smooth read, full of valuable information, tips tricks and of course exercise routine. I would recommend it to anyone who is pregnant, recently had a baby or has ever had a baby.
