Wonderful curb appeal. The food was great and the bi-lingual staff friendly and extremely helpful. Our room, 201 had a balcony and seating but the view was a roof top with a variety of pipes sticking up. Don’t stay in 201 in the main building.

First time at this resort and I would have to say the pros and cons balance out each other. So I would give this experience a push…the staff is really friendly, everyone is very nice. It was my birthday so they did a few things to make me feel special which were the pros. Some of the cons/negatives they have 2 different areas of rooms one is the tower which are the nicer rooms then they have another area of rooms which are ground level. We got put in one of the ground level rooms. First off they need to do some serious remodeling of these rooms if they look anything like our room. This room had mold in the tub/shower, stains on the carpet and couches and also had a smell to it. I ask when I check in if they could move us to a higher floor but the lady said she couldn’t do that. I noticed at night that only 15% of the rooms in the tower had lights on so the hotel was not that full and could have easily of moved anyone over to the tower. This hotel also charges $19 resort fee I knew this before I booked this hotel – please make note even if you arrive at 9pm they will still charge you this fee for that night even though you didn’t get to use anything that is apart of this fee. They told me the resort fee is apart of the rate so she could not remove it. It comes up a separate charge on the bill. Other places I have stayed would remove this fee if we would arrive late in the evening, they do not do that here. I didn’t mind paying for this fee on the second day because we spent most of the day at the resorts near the pool and we used some of the stuff that comes with the fee. Also the bike rentals don’t open until 10am so if you want to go for early morning ride that can’t happen. Their pool side drinks are about $10 and they don’t put much in there basically $10 for a coke.
Had dinner at the Red Marlin. Dinner was great, food and our server were awesome. Pool was really nice as well. Great resort for kids as they have 3 water slides. They do need to heat up the pool – it was about 90 degrees on this day but no one was really swimming bc the water must have been around 55-60 degrees.
Overall I give this hotel a push. If it wasn’t for my birthday this resort would have gotten zero stars but bc of what they did for me I would move them up to 3 stars.I’m not sure if I would stay here again.

We stayed in a one of their Waterfront 2 Queen beds Suites. Cons:The pull out bed was broken so they had to deliver 2 roll away beds just before bedtime. The room was not as clean when we first arrived. Crumbs found in the bathroom, bathroom door wouldn’t close nor lock. Small deck facing the beautiful bay had 2 oversized chairs that have stained cushions and occupying most of the space. We requested for a late check out so our kids could swim. Front desk told us that check-out was at 12:30pm so at 12:15pm, we tried to get into our room but they have already disabled our cards so I had to call the Front Desk and the man said he was going to send Security to open the door for us but after 15 minutes, no one came. I had to flag one of the cleaning crews to open the door for us. Security never came.

Pros: Valet staff and bellman were efficient. Wait staff by the pool was fast and had awesome customer service. Pools and slides were awesome.

I most probably will not stay in this Hyatt Hotel again and if I do, I will ask to inspect the room first.

I recently went to Aruba and stayed at the Hyatt …I absolutely loved the resort. The rooms were very clean which is very important to me. The room that I had was called ocean front but really you had to strain your neck to see the ocean…I called the front desk and they changed it and still not to an ocean front. Overall it was a great vacation and a pricy one. What I was surprised about was that every person working there seemed like they didn’t want to be there…they looked unhappy and not so willing to help. At the restaurant we were served by waiters and waitresses who never smiled and looked annoyed if you even politely requested something from them….I want to book my next year’s vacation and the only thing that’s keeping me from booking with Hyatt is the unfriendly and unhappy staff…

Nice place, needs work. Had a nice stay at Newport Beach location, it’s a very nice resort but very much lacking on maintenance/care, even saw management walking around taking pictures of pools full of leaves, cracked concrete walkways. Hot tub was cold and also full of leaves. Basically they only maintain the one pool area which has the kids slide.

We stayed at the resort for one night . It was a great stay. Hotel is very clean and everybody was very nice if we needed any help. We had a lunch at cokscrew restaurant at the resort and our server Hugo did an excellent job. He was very attentive and was very helpful with the menu and all the recommendation he gave us on the food and drinks were right ! We had a great time. He had a great personality made us feel very welcome. We definitely will be back to stay at the hotel and eat at the lunch place and we will ask for Hugo again. I would recommended to try the food there . It was absolutely delicious.

When I first checked in I was given a room by the pool which was dirty, and the furniture was moldy and smelly. I called the front desk and they sent someone over.. Before I moved rooms I asked him to look at what I was talking about and he agreed that it was in very bad condition and said he couldn’t believe they had given me such a room. I moved to another room not much better but it was all they had as the boat show was going on this weekend. On the next day I was moved to another room in the tower which was better but fair compared to other rooms I had paid almost $300 per night for BUT the view was killer! I would say this hotel is past it’s time for remodel

being a gold passport member Hyatt has never failed to impress and the Regency at Coconut Point was no exception. From the moment we arrived we were treated with great service from the bellmen to the front desk to the great restaurants at the hotel. The pools were fantastic. The rooms were also clean and comfortable. As always the next time I travel if there is a Hyatt there so will I.

This was our first time to aruba so we were very excited to experience the island. We checked in and swear we could not have had the worse room. Our view was of the roof of the 2nd floor of a pair of underwear. Had to be one of the very few rooms with out a balcony. Next experience was at the pool bar, all the drinks were expensive then we got our bill while I ran up to the room so my wife closed it out. I noticed on the check a 15% service charge and my wide tipped our normal 20% tip. So I asked the bartender what the 15% charge was and he gave a vague response that it’s really not a tip. This was a complete fabrication once we looked into it more that some places automatically add the 15% as a tip and you can tip up from there if your service was exceptional. Well our service was not exceptional and we felt very deceived by this swim up bar. This is after we sat in our seats waiting for a service person and I had to go to the bar for our order. So very disappointed by service and deception. Next was the casino my wife went in after dinner figured we would gamble a little and get a drink we were there for over 30 minutes put 60 dollars in slot machines and not one person came to take our order, so we left. So review was terrible service at casino too. Finally our last problem was with the pool where I was asked to play volleyball in the pool with a bunch of people there were 3 teams of nine people, men, women and kids. There was one family that complained about the game so security interrupted the game and said no volleyball until after 4. The next day they actually took the net down and would not put back up. So no only did they lose money by about 30 people not drinking but upset the same people for one couple. This couple by the way had the worse behaved children you’d ever meet to the point their young son actually spit in a guy’s face. Good was the location of the hotel and the housekeepers were great.

My favorite Hyatt! The grounds are great and the retro design is perfect for its location. You cannot beat the staff at this hotel. The bellman, bartender and managers are as good as they come and are so warm and friendly. Makes it very nice for me as I travel the world for my job! I always look forward to my return.

Hyatt Scottsdale was great for children. Awesome pool and good lobby, entertainment area.

Was disappointed with the “regency club” upgrade. Paid $70 per day for continental breakfast.

What a lovely place for a family vacation! Three generations met for Thanksgiving at Hyatt Hill Country, San Antonio. Rooms were excellent, food out of this world, wonderful activities for the entire family. The grandboys enjoyed golf, surfing, Camp Hyatt, s’mores and movies, as well as their own riding and remote-control toys on the extensive walking and riding paths. Adults enjoyed the pools, gym, golf, deck and lobby seating, and the efficient, courteous service. We spent an entire day at the spa while the boys enjoyed Camp Hyatt activities; the spa experience was outstanding.

The resort is pricey, but well worth the price. Where else can you lose a child, then find him happily coloring in one of the many activity areas, with a hotel employee keeping him company, then asking that you show them a picture of the child on your cell phone before they will release him into your care. Everyone in the family had plenty to do in total comfort.

Just got back from the Hyatt in Aruba. This was our 9th year in a row during the Thanksgiving Holiday. The only negative thing is an important one. My sisters’ family has been going there the same time for 17 years and has always booked two rooms( sometimes three). We began going with the intent of having an joint family vacation. We have requested to be on the same floor since my family began staying there (9 years in a row!). Each year the reservation department at the Aruba resort said they can not assign rooms before we actually check in! When I asked why, the answer is it’s hotel policy. Each year, our families have been placed on different floors. This happens even when we both booked the hotel 7 – 8 months before the trip.

It gets worse! This year I emailed CARINA LUYDENS at the Aruba resort’s reservation department just two days prior to our arrival and requested her assistance with booking both families on the same floor. I did so because I was arriving on a later flight than my sister and it was less likely that we would be able to request rooms on the same floor. CARINA LUYDENS did not have the decency or professionalism to reply to my email one way or the other!! Here is the email that CARINA LUYDENS did not reply to:

    “Hi Carina,

My sister, P.Mulligan, contacted you on August 27,2014 regarding rooms 809 & 811, which she has been fortunate to get each year.

Is it possible to get a room on the same floor and as close to theirs as possible? We’ve both been coming there for many years and the whole idea of a family vacation is to be close by to each other. I know that hotel policy is to not hold rooms far out in advance, which is why I waited until two days before arriving to ask. We normally request this at the front desk upon arrival. Unfortunately, My sister will arrive ahead of me on an earlier flight. I will arrive around 4:00 p.m.

I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide with this concern.

    Best Regards,
    M. Mulligan”

The Hotel itself is beautiful and well maintained throughout ( rooms, pool, grounds, restaurants, etc.). The staff is fantastic and friendly EXCEPT FOR CARINA LUYDENS in the RESERVATIONS DEPT. They keep me going back!

CARINA LUYDENS also said at one time while not accommodating our booking request; ” we have many returning guest besides you” which felt like she meant that the Hyatt does not need our business.

The kicker is that I can use my Timeshare in a resort adjacent to the Hyatt for the week for less than the cost of one night at the Hyatt; but we keep trying to stay together at the Hyatt. I will be writing Hyatt corporate regarding my ignored email.
