What parent testers had to say:
OnStar is a great service to provide me with a sound mind when I leave the house. The only thing it can't do is remind me if I shut the garage door! It is great in my hectic life when it comes to hand-free phone calls, directions and locking my keys in my car (though it doesn't happen frequently):) Also it is great for when I traveling, if we needed any roadside assistance or help in any way.
Driving is one of the most complex and dangerous things that we do. I feel like I have peace of mind with OnStar. I'm constantly forgetting about when I should be taking my truck in for maintenance and don't give it much thought, so the email reminder of what I need to do next is something I find really helpful. I drive in Northern BC, highway 16 can dangerous in the winter months. The majority of the drive I do often (to visit family in another town) has no cell phone service. I always wondered what would happen if we got in an accident, or if I needed roadside assistance with no cell service. I would hate to be stuck on the side of the highway with no way of communication. OnStar has an emergency assistance if it's needed. If you are in an accident, an OnStar adviser will reach you and get a hold of the authorities. Roadside assistance is only a button push away. I feel more comfortable and safe driving with OnStar behind me. I also had the opportunity to try our the OnStar RemoteLink app. This app is awesome. I really like the feature where you can start your vehicle from your smartphone, that's really neat. My favorite feature of the app is how I can unlock my truck from the app. If I were to lock my keys in the truck, I wouldn't panic. I usually have my phone with me so I know I could save a phone call (and money) and take care of the problem myself. OnStar is a great feature to have to keep you and your family safe, but I do find the cost is a little high.
OnStar has been wonderful. It makes me feel more at ease when driving, especially with my babies in the car. I never have to worry about getting directions or not being able to call someone in an emergency. I think it is wonderful that OnStar is able to contact emergency personnel if the vehicle is in an accident. There are so many wonderful features that OnStar has to offer. Once I became a member, I couldn't imagine not having it. I will be suggesting this service to family members and friends. This would also make a wonderful Christmas gift for those close to me!
