What parent testers had to say:
The Philips Avent baby monitor is the new "must have" for parents to give them piece of mind. There are so many features I love about this product. A secure connection with far range is convenient if you have things to get done around the house while your baby is asleep. The picture and sound quality are crisp. The battery lasts a long time so no need to plug in half way in the night or worry that the battery will die and you won't hear your baby. You even have con troll over the music played in your baby's room and can talk to them which is comforting. Overall a phenomenal product! I can't go without it now that I've used it.
I really enjoyed the Phillips Avent SCD630 Baby Monitor for a variety of reasons. I feel the price point is good for the variety of features you receive. I really liked how the audio and video of the monitor was very clear. My current baby monitor doesn't have an option to turn off the night light feature but this one did which was nice. There were a variety of lullaby selections and some features that I really enjoyed on this monitor. One of the feature that was nice was the zoom feature. There are times when I bring the monitor traveling and I may not have the option to set up the monitor as close to the baby as I would like. The zoom feature gives me piece of mind because I can zoom in on the baby. I also do not hear too well with background noises and this monitor offers a vibrate feature which is great for me. I can just clip it to my belt if I'm in a louder environment and it will vibrate when I need to be notified. The sensitivity feature ranging from low to very high was nice because when there is background noise the monitor will not stay on unless you want it to. My current monitor doesn't notify me when the battery is going to die which is very inconvenient. This monitor notifies you with bars at the top of the screen and by beeping and flashing a red indicator light when it is about to die. This is great because I know exactly when to put it on the charger and receive ample warning in order to do so. The indicator bar at the top is helpful, it tells you what mode you are in as the monitor has four different ones (audio, video, eco, or vox) and well as what the current temperature is in the room, as well as reception (for how far you range) and battery life. Overall this is a good product at a fair price point. I am happy with it and would recommend it to friends and family.
The Philips Avent Digital Video Monitor has been great! We have always used audio monitors in the past and felt that this monitor gave a great first experience with a video monitor. The video is very clear whether is be a day nap or night time sleep. I love the feature to lower the volume or to make the sound detector more sensitive so you can hear when the baby rolls over. I love that there is a wide selection of lullabies to play to the baby as well as the option to use my own voice to sooth her without going into the room. This monitor has made our daughters transition into her own room a great a experience.
