The Sleep Fairy is a whimsical and magical book that will help your child into La La land. My daughter would often find any excuse to get out of bed at night, from “I’m thirsty” or “I forgot to tell you…” It was trying on our sleep and definitely on her energy level for school. I am glad to have come across this book because ever since reading it with my daughter, she is able to get restful sleep all the while dreaming of The Sleep Fairy’s visit. As far as the method of the book, I know that some parents (myself included) may view that children shouldn’t be rewarded for things they ought to already be doing. But, when kids find magic and happiness when doing these tasks, they do them. The gifts that The Sleep Fairy brings need not be extravagant but thoughtful and even treats they may not normally get. I “left” books, erasers and things of the such that she loves. I can’t wait to see my daughter look back in happy nostalgia when she remembers The Sleep Fairy and perhaps, she will share this with her children one day.
