Do Your Duty..??

My 5th wedding anniversary is looming, not a long time I know, but an eternity by Hollywood standards. With 4 kids, a hectic schedule, no nannies or daycare, life can get a little crazy around my house. It is usually a good crazy, usually… In all the mayhem and carnage, sometimes I need to take a step back and remember why I do things. It’s not for the accolades and awards that get bestowed upon me daily…(in my dreams) Or the bags of money I get paid, again…dreaming. It’s simple for L.O.V.E and the simple satisfaction of it all. I think J-LO said it best in her 2001 hit “Love don’t cost a thing.”… I say…OH WHAT A CROCK OF SHIT, love is expensive and tiring as hell. It has made my boobs sag and my ass widen. My hair has changed from brown to grey, and then to blonde. A scientific annomoly so I hear. So once again I just try and put it all into perspective. A  Woman’s Duty…is my Pleasure… It’s NOT my duty too…..wash it, wipe it, polish and shine it. It’s NOT my duty too…..plan, pack, reserve and confirm it. It’s NOT my duty too…..please, include, invite and reply. It’s NOT my duty too…..make it, bake, it, fix it and fake it. It’s NOT my duty too…..apologize, mend, pretend and defend. It’s NOT my duty too…..Love, respect, honor and obey. I must remember not to do these things out of a sense of duty, yet from a place of love. YOU must remember, It’s NOT my duty, but it is my pleasure. It IS my pleasure too…..wash it, wipe it, polish and shine it. It IS my pleasure too…..plan, pack, reserve and confirm it. Love always … Do Your Duty Daiquiri 1 1/2 ounces Coconut Rum 1/2 ounce Banana Liqueur 2 ounce orange juice 2 ounces Pineapple juice splash  Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a large glass and garnish with some shaved coconut and fresh pineapple.
