As soon as I see the word hazelnut in anything I come across, I just have to try it.
I love hazelnut. And I love Nutella.
Now that the weather outside has gotten nippy, crawling up in your most comfortable pajamas and fuzzy slippers is just the best. Icing on the cake?
A decadent steaming cup of Hazelnut Hot Chocolate (or Nutella Hot Chocolate).
Here’s how to make this quick and easy hot drink that is sure to please everyone!
Comfort at its finest.
Ingredients:
- 1 1/3 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons Nutella
- 1 teaspoon cocoa powder (or you can bypass this if you don’t have any – doesn’t change anything!)
- *Optional: Whipped creme in a can for garnish, chocolate shavings, chocolate syrup. I also like to add crushed candy canes (or throw in a whole one) to give it a peppermint twist (great for the Holidays!)
- **Optional: 1 shot of Frangelico or Kahlua (Adult version only, smile !)
- Ferrero Rocher Candy atop the whipped cream (a great garnish to add when entertaining)d
Method:
In a high sauce pan, whisk together 1/3 of the milk, Nutella, cocoa powder in medium heat. When combined, add rest of milk and whisk at medium-high heat until frothy. I didn’t have Nutella on hand this time to I used something similar. Still delish!
**Optional**
Serve with a shot of Frangelico or Kaluha (if you’re an adult), top with whipped creme, crushed Ferrero Rocher candy, chocolate syrup drizzle.
Enjoy!
My family absolutely loves this drink. I’m sure yours will too. 🙂
