I have the easiest recipe ever for a “no ice cream maker needed” homemade ice cream. My kids LOVE doing this. It’s almost as good as a magic trick! It’s also a great way to impress dinner guests. It takes just 10 minutes prep time, and ingredients you usually already have in the house.
Ingredients:
1 can (14oz) condensed milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons of flavouring (this can be anything -fresh mint, bourbon, honey, chocolate, peanut butter)
2 cups cold heavy cream
Directions:
In a medium bowl, gently stir condensed milk, vanilla and flavouring (I like bourbon!) together and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat cream on high with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form, about 4 minutes.
Fold the medium bowl mixture into the large bowl, gently mix and spoon into dishes of your choice.
For children I have some cute shaped dishes, for adults you can spoon it into a loaf pan, which you can later cut into slabs and serve with fresh fruit as a light summer dessert.
Freeze for 6 hours and voila! Homemade ice cream.
Told you it was easy!
