Being a PTPA Tester
How does it work?
Sign up as a PTPA tester on our site with a completed profile and you will be included in our database. Once products become available for testing, we randomly select appropriate testers based on the information provided to us on your profile dashboard and the product criteria. We give all the testers in our database a chance to test product.
How do I become a PTPA tester?
You can join the PTPA community at via this link.
Once you complete your profile, you will be part of our tester database and will now be qualified to receive products for testing.
Does it cost anything to be a tester?
Being a tester does not cost anything. We send the products to you for free and it is yours to keep after the testing period.
I do not want to provide PTPA with all my personal information, does this mean I do not qualify as a tester?
We use your information to determine whether or not you are qualified to test a product based on its criteria.
I am unable to pick up during business hours, do you have any alternate hours?
Unfortunately, we do not offer any evening or weekend pickups at the moment but anyone can pick up on your behalf if you cannot make it to our office during regular business hours.
I’ve been a tester for years. How come I’ve never received product?
We have over 130,000 testers in our community and we give all testers in our database a chance to test product. Please ensure your profile is completed to appear in our tester database.
Will I be more eligible for more testing opportunities if I select “able to pick-up” in my profile/dashboard?
Whether you are able to pick-up product or not does not factor into testing opportunities for which you are eligible. We randomly select testers based on the information provided to us on your profile dashboard and the product criteria.
I live outside of Canada, can I still be a product tester?
Yes! We have many testing opportunities available all across North America.

I completed a survey to test a product, how do I know if I have been selected?
If you are selected as a tester for a product, you will receive an email asking you to log in to accept or decline the opportunity.
Your office is located in Ontario, do I have to live locally to be a product tester or receive a product?
No, we ship products to testers all over North America.
Why do I need to provide you with all my personal information?
We ask for your personal information to ensure we select the appropriate tester for available products.
Do I get to keep the product after I’ve tested it?
Yes, the product is yours to keep and you do not have to return it after the testing period.

What products does PTPA test?
We test a range of products and services. Products can range from baby items, food/beverage, eco-friendly, electronics and everything in between.
Do I have to purchase product in order to test it?
The “Buy Now” links on our product pages are for products that have already been tested and awarded the PTPA Seal of Approval. We provide these direct links if you are interested in purchasing the product.
How are testers selected?
We randomly select testers based on the information provided to us on your profile dashboard and the product criteria. We give all the testers in our database a chance to test product. Please ensure your profile is completed to appear in our tester database.
What do I do when I get a product?
Once you receive the product, please test it thoroughly. When you are ready to submit your evaluation (prior to the due date), please login in to provide us with your honest feedback.
How do I know if there are any testing opportunities to receive free products?
We randomly select testers based on product availability and criteria. If a product requires certain sizing or specifications, we will send out an email survey to ensure the appropriate testers are selected.
Do I get to choose which products I want to test?
No, unfortunately at this time you must be selected as a tester for a product. If selected, you will receive an email with the testing opportunity. If you believe the product we’ve selected for you to test is not the best fit for your family, you may decline.
How soon after becoming a member will I receive product?
We give every tester an opportunity to test products. We ask that you be patient as the process depends on product criteria and information provided to us by the tester in your profile.
What products does PTPA test?

I really want to test a product. What can I do?
We randomly select testers based on product availability and criteria. If a product requires certain sizing or specifications, we will send out an email survey to ensure the appropriate testers are selected.
I received an email to test a product but it no longer appears on my dashboard.
If you do not accept or decline a testing opportunity within 24 hours, a new tester will automatically be selected and the product will be removed from your dashboard.
Can someone else pick up on my behalf?
Yes! Anyone can pick up a product during our business hours.
I haven’t received my product for testing, now what?

My evaluation due date is approaching and I still haven’t received the product. What should I do?

How do I know when my evaluation is due?
The due date will be listed with the product information on your dashboard.
I missed my evaluation due date and now it shows “expired”. What should I do?
Please contact us by filling out the form located here we will adjust your due date.
I just received my product but the due date is tomorrow and I need more time to evaluate. What should I do?

I’m not sure I signed up. Can you check for me?
If you are unable to sign into your tester profile, please open a support ticket here.
I received an email notification telling me my evaluation is overdue but I haven't received the product yet, what should I do?
Please contact us by opening a support ticket here. We will be able to assist you and provide you with the details of the shipment.
How do I cancel my PTPA.Club membership?
You are able to cancel your PTPA.Club paid membership by accessing your dashboard and Going to My Profile > Subscription tab on the side menu. If you are having issues cancelling your subscription, please contact us by opening a support ticket here.
