Today marks the third National Day for Truth and R

Today marks the third National Day for Truth and Reconciliation in Canada.

It recognizes the tragic legacy of residential schools, the missing children, the families left behind and the survivors of these institutions.

Today is also Orange Shirt Day, an Indigenous-led grassroots commemorative day intended to raise awareness of the individual, family and community inter-generational impacts of residential schools, and to promote the concept of “Every Child Matters”.

We encourage all Canadians to wear orange to honour the thousands of survivors of residential schools.
