False Alarm

After using the Snuza Hero for the first 6 weeks of my sons life we had multiple false alarms from the device. It is very scary to jolt awake to a high pitched beeping sound and shuffle around in a very sleepy state trying to stop the alarm. Not only then but even while we was sleeping in my arms as I rocked him to sleep, knowing he was breathing and perfectly fine. I can see how this would be beneficial when working correctly. For some reason the device went off when my son had no issues for that reason we completed got rid of it.

I have a family member who died from S.I.D.'s. I think this product is great for piece of mind but I do think they should lower the price a bit. It has a sensor that detects if babies breathing gets delayed or stops. It attaches to the diaper and the tip rests on the belly. It detects the breathing by babies stomach movements.

We purchased this because I was having pretty severe anxiety at night regarding my son's breathing. We actually used the owlet for a while, but as my son became able to move around more, he kept kicking the device off, even with one of his socks fitted over top of it. He rolls around all over the place, but the Snuza stays in place under his pants. It's definitely not a miracle device, but it gives me peace of mind knowing that if he were to to stop breathing, I could respond more quickly than I could without it.
We tested the alarm sound, and its quite loud, which I appreciate. You can also adjust the motion sensor to just a flashing green light or a beeping sound. The beeping sound drives me crazy, so we just use the light.
I gave it 4 stars because it can come off and give false alarms. We were having a lot of false alarms until we found a pair of pants that kept it snugly in place. He also doesn't seem to mind it, even though he often sleeps on his belly. We'll probably stop using it for him soon, but I'll definitely use it for any future babies that may come along :)

This product gave me the peace of mind I needed!
Our daughter was in the hospital for 2 weeks with a severe cold and after being discharged I knew I needed something to monitor her breathing during the night. I quickly came across the Snuza and purchased it right away!
I was able to finally get some sleep at night knowing we had a device to monitor our little one's breathing!
We used this for the first 3 months and were very happy with the performance. We didn't have any "false alarms", it was easy and simple to use and was comfortable for our little one.
I found the price point to be good, we only used it for a short time and couldn't imagine using it for a long period. I feel as baby grows the possibility of getting a false alarm, having it fall off or maybe being uncomfortable for your baby could increase.
But overall I think this is a great little product to offer parents some peace of mind at night!

This product is amazing! Being able to bring it with baby is a great feature. Babies don't just sleep in a crib. Having peace of mind is something that is very hard to get as a new parent. This product helps, if even just a little bit :)
